Monday Morning Manicure

For the past year or so I've been obsessed with having one finger nail painted a different colour that contrasts or coordinates, the odd one out is usually my pinky or ring finger. I love with this manicure and I'm sure it will look good as almost any color combo.
I was at my friend's the other day and we showed her mom that we both had our nails painted with one finger a different colour, her mom looked at us like we were crazy. We both giggled and we knew that the trend was clearly awesome and   the fact that she didn't think it was cool made it cooler.

In order to create this look I started with two coats of the  colours that I chose to be the base. I waited until the next day to paint the tips because I just don't have the patience to wait for 5 coats to dry.  So the day after I painted my nails with the base colours, I taped off my tips diagonally with some scotch tape, and painted on two coats of black. I then carefully removed the tape  with an up and backwards motion while the nail polish was still quite wet.  After the 2 layers of black dried I applied a layer of top coat to  add shine and to help protect my manicure! I love this look I think this manicure has attitude and personality. It's fun bold colours and it's funky design is full of edginess and energy!

Monday Morning Manicure Madness

Good Morning and A happy Tuesday to you! I know I missed Monday by a day, but ohhhh well it's been a rough week, I had to see my husband off to the army. This morning's manicure is with one of my favourite polishes, it's a beautiful holographic paint with what I would like to nano-sparkles. These nano-sparkles bring to life the rainbow effect! I applied to different stamping patterns that had similar lines.

Monday Morning Manicure Madness!

Nail Stamping is revolutionizing nail art. This high tech beauty equipment is fun and so easy to use. It took me some practice to get the hang of applying the patterns straight, but a couple of tries and I quickly improved. I love how quick it is compared to nail art itself, which can take quite a bit of time. So this week's nail stamp is inspired by this fall's wild side. The fashion runways have been full of animal print this fall/winter season, which I think looks rich and decadent! I love all animal prints which one is your favorite????

Monday Morning Manicure Madness

Surprise! Today's segment of Monday Morning Manicure Madness happens to fall on a Sunday evening. Tomorrow I will be working extremely early in the morning, and that is why I am posting now.  I've been working more than usual, this week was particularly crazy, hence no posts until today :(

Today's Manicure is a super fun, modern, geometric print that I just love!  This manicure actually lasted almost 2 weeks without any major chips! I applied the nail art design with my stamping kit, find it here: (the first ever Monday Morning Manicure Madness) I always make sure to use my favourite top coat Lasting Finnish Pro, by RIMMEL LONDON. I love it because it is; rather inexpensive ( I bought mine on sale for $3), it's; mega shiny, spreads smoothly, dries evenly,  and  it does last for the advertised 10 days! I would certainly recommend this top coat to anyone who is serious about making their manicure last.

Until next time, Stay Cool, Stay Comfortable, Stay YOU!

Monday Morning Manicure Madness

Good Morning  this morning's segment of Monday's Manicure Madness showcases  a lovely floral nail stamp design!  Nail stamping is a fairly simple process, but it takes a bit of practice to get it right. This is my first try using my new stamping kit, and it worked just as well as my Konad nail stamping kit. Apparently room temperature plays a big factor in nail stamping, in my cool air conditioned living-room, I could not stamp my nails. The moving cool air made it impossible to stamp because the nail polish kept drying way too quickly it would either dry; on the stamper  before I could stamp it or on the sheet after I scraped it. AARRGGG! But I don't think this will be a problem in a  home with central air, unless it's an ice box inside your house or you have a fan pointing at you.  I was however able to successfully stamp my nails in my warmer un-air-conditioned kitchen.  Once in a non breezy environment, stamping went smoothly and easily!

What do you think? Cute ?
