Look Hot Stay Cool

So the summer is nearing it's end, but it's still scorching here with temperatures hitting 40 Celsius daily it's hard to stay cool.  If you ask me it's actually much too hot for clothing, but as much as I would love getting away with wearing my bikini all day everyday it's just not an option. That is why today I will begin a three part series named Look Hot Stay Cool,  where I will find hidden ways to stay comfortable  and still look fashionable!
So in my quest to Look Hot an Stay Cool, I found this lovely little tank top on sale for half price. I picked it up off the rack and my husband shared with my how cute he thought it was, a buying sign, so quickly tried it on and then I was sold.  It is by S.wear, a brand made by Hanes clothing, it's basically the most comfortable clothing on the face of the earth, and it's not all pajamas, although most of it I would classify only acceptable to wear while exercising, sleeping, beaching, or cleaning. Which is obviously a huge hit here, because Israel is probably one of the most casually dressed populations I have ever encountered.  The weather here during the summer is not bearable for most, just wearing a necklace can make me feel sweaty and uncomfortable and if my shoes are too warm, I'm gonna cook... and  forget wearing my hair down, I might as well be wearing a fur coat... so it's hot here... I like it.. actually I love it... there is nothing like blistering heat, I'm usually cold so I like when it's HOT. But to Look Hot and Stay Cool is a brand new Lesson for me. I used to think Fashion & Beauty was suffering, no pain no gain. Well friends I am here to tell you that it's not all true..

When the temperature soars it can be a challenge to look fashionable and put together. So I have taken it upon myself to create some scorching hot looks, that will manage to keep me feeling cool, when the thermometer is about to burst! To get a feel for the versatility of my new shirt I've used it in all the Look Hot Stay Cool looks.

In order too Look Hot and Stay Cool, I chose light weight items, skirts, and sandals, and I kept the accessories subtle and to a minimum. When the temperature is rising, less (everything) is so much more!

Stay tuned for more Look Hot Stay Cool Looks coming soon in part two!

Finding Mintspiration

I went shopping with my good friend Natalie, and I was supposed to be helping her find a dress and low and behold I managed to find one for myself, well I had an armful to try on so the chances  of me finding one were pretty good. It just so happened by chance that the most  stunning one, a mint one shoulder dress, fit the best out of all of them, the lines seemed to fit perfect to my body. How could I not buy it? Even Nat was like,
" WOAH YOU SO HAVE TO BUY THAT DRESS"

So I did, and I took it home and I was so excited and I felt so inspired by my new mint dress that the moment I got home I began to mix and match my new mint dress with my accessories and shoes! It took me about an hour but I created 10 great ways to wear my spectacular mint dress. The next time I am busy getting ready and I want to wear my mint dress I won't even have to think because I have invented some great looks already with this dress ahead of time I can just throw it all on and won't even have to debate if it looks good or not!  When I am under pressure to get ready I can never make a decision on time and always end up choosing the easiest "safe"  option. This way my choices are easy, I pick an already arranged outfit that suits my mood that day. Also planning and coordinating outfits regularly actually makes it easier to mix and match on the spot because you already kinda have an idea of what accessories/shoes work with what colours you have in your closet.

Mint came back into fashion this summer season and I hope it sticks around. Mint has always been a favourite of mine. I swear the colour mint evens out my skin tone and makes me look way more tanned than I actually am, and for my pastie white ass that's a great thing!

I used to own a mint double breasted  cropped mint jacket, it was honestly one of my most favourite pieces of clothing of all time. That is until a rogue pair of pink panties got mixed into my lights and brights laundry load and my mint jacket came out with pink splotches all over. I tried everything to get the pink out but the splotches wouldn't budge the jacket was ruined. It was a sad day in North York the day my mint jacket died.... RIP

Stay tuned there are already more mintspirational outfits in production and I have a feeling there will be even more in the near future!

XO~  stay cool, stay comfortable,
STAY MINTY!

Plan to Look Good

I've been feeling unstoppable with the seemly infinite possibilities that I have recently unearthed. Epiphany is the word that comes to mind when I think of the magnitude of combinations that are awaiting our fingertips. We literally have Quadrillions of Options to Choose from, I will never again fret about an outfit.  I've been pondering if we have so many choices why do we always revert back to that same old 'safe' outfit?   Maybe when the time comes the task at hand is too daunting, all those options maybe they are overwhelming us, then we go out and by a new shirt because we are unsatisfied with our wardrobe.  In case you haven't heard there is a great new way to find instant satisfaction with what you already have.

We plan every other aspect of our life down to the last minutes and seconds, why not have a planned wardrobe ?  Think about it, it really makes sense, you plan meetings, plan work, plan dates, plan events, plan parties, plan vacations, plan diets, plan savings plans, YOU plan lunch, dinner and breakfast why don't you plan your wardrobe?

Let's take a minute and think of why we plan things? So things get done, so we accomplish our lists and don't forget anything. Well if you don't plan an outfit, when the time comes to put one together will you even remember what clothes you own? I think we all have too many choices so we make the easiest choice, which is what we remember that works. Instead of overwhelming yourself with options when staring into the closet oblivious to what works well together take an afternoon, and co-ordinate your clothing and plan a few outfits for a variety of occasions, and the next time you open your closet you'll have a better understanding of what works well together.

Since I really wanted to expand on the versatility of my shorts and make sure that I don't take the "safe route", I have planned some evening looks that will be great for the upcoming summer nights.

Shorts are so flexible in their various applications they are the perfect specimen for mix and match-ization. I really felt like the amount of outfit combinations and styles were endless.

Next time you walk by your closet take a look inside and plan a new outfit for those super comfy shorts you have . I always plan on looking and feeling good, but it doesn't always turn out that way. When your co-ordinate ahead of time using those semi-casual shorts in semi-dressy outfits, you can guarantee that you will look and feel great.  It's easy all you have to do is plan to look good
